About Trigger.dev

Trigger.dev lets builders run long-running tasks and AI workflows outside a short web request. A product can start a document-processing job, coordinate several model calls, or schedule recurring work while keeping run status visible. Retries, queues, concurrency controls, and logs help investigate failures and control how work proceeds. Managed cloud access includes a free plan with credit and capacity limits; paid plans and usage charges expand it. Self-hosting is a separate operating choice. Start with one task whose input, output, and failure behavior are clear. Make repeated execution safe, set a sensible duration and budget, and show users whether their work is queued, running, or complete.

Durable tasks and retries

Run long-running workflows with retry behavior and inspect individual executions when something fails.

Queues and concurrency

Control how work is queued and how many runs execute together, within the limits of the selected plan.

Schedules and run visibility

Schedule recurring tasks and expose supported run status or streams to keep the application and its users informed.
