About Sentient OS

Sentient OS builds a knowledge base from the local sources a user enables, then uses that context for drafts, suggestions, and delegated computer tasks. Sidekick works across apps, while Double Tap prepares contextual writing. Start with a limited set of sources and inspect what the app has learned. The personal app is described as free and open source; chosen AI providers can charge separately. Local understanding does not mean every feature stays offline: cloud-backed features can receive relevant context and screenshots. The current app requires an Apple Silicon Mac with macOS 15.4 or later; Windows is waitlisted.

Build context from chosen sources

Select supported notes, messages, files, or calendar sources and inspect the resulting local knowledge.

Prepare writing and follow-through

Use contextual drafts and proactive suggestions as a starting point for work you review.

Choose how tasks are executed

Compare local and cloud model options, computer-use permissions, hardware requirements, and separate provider costs.

Build, then get discovered
