About Recessed Light Calculator
Recessed Light Calculator is a free browser-based starting point for homeowners planning general lighting in one rectangular room. Set room dimensions and heights, fixture lumens, beam angle and target illuminance, then inspect a 2D recessed-light layout. Export the plan as PNG or the positions as CSV for a planning conversation. The main model uses fixed UF/LLF assumptions; the separate lumen calculator lets users explore those factors. These are preliminary planning estimates, not measured photometry, IES/CAD integration, complete electrical design or installation approval. The calculator has no AI runtime feature.
