Calendly alternatives

Compare Cal.com, Zcal, TidyCal, SavvyCal, and Microsoft Bookings as Calendly alternatives by free plan, per-seat cost, paid bookings, and team scheduling.

What do you need to change?

Most people who leave Calendly hit one of three limits: the free plan allows only one event type, adding hosts means paying for another seat each time, or the business runs on paid sessions or Microsoft 365. Cal.com and Zcal give individuals unlimited links on a free plan. TidyCal suits solo service businesses taking paid bookings and offers one-time lifetime plans. SavvyCal focuses on a better booking experience for invitees, and Microsoft Bookings is already included with many Microsoft 365 plans.

Five alternatives to consider

Scheduling tools

Cal.com

Consider Cal.com when you want unlimited links and calendars on a free individual plan, with routing forms and round robin available on paid team plans.

Hosted scheduling with a free plan for individuals that includes unlimited links and calendars, plus a separate MIT-licensed community edition, Cal.diy, for self-hosting.

Pricing model
Free for one user with unlimited links and calendar connections. Teams and Organizations plans are priced per user and add round robin, routing forms, and admin controls, each with a 14-day free trial. Enterprise is custom.
Before choosing
Self-hosting means running Cal.diy, a community fork without team features that its maintainers recommend for personal, non-production use; budget for the hosted plan if you need teams.
Scheduling tools

Zcal

Consider Zcal when you are booking for yourself and want a free plan with unlimited links, meeting polls, and Stripe payments.

A scheduling app with a free plan for individuals that includes unlimited links, calendars, meeting polls, and payments.

Pricing model
Free for individuals with unlimited links and calendar accounts. Paid Pro and Business plans are priced per user and add teams, round robin, SMS reminders, and branding removal, with a 14-day free trial.
Before choosing
Team scheduling, SMS reminders, webhooks, and commission-free payments are on paid plans; check which ones you need before relying on the free plan.
Scheduling tools

TidyCal

Consider TidyCal when you sell sessions, packages, or subscriptions and would rather pay once for a lifetime plan than subscribe.

A booking page from AppSumo for solo service businesses, with paid bookings, packages, and subscriptions, and one-time lifetime plans.

Pricing model
A free plan with unlimited bookings and booking types and one calendar connection. One-time lifetime plans add more calendars and, on the agency tier, team scheduling; a Pro subscription removes branding and platform fees.
Before choosing
Free and lifetime plans add a 1% platform fee to payments taken through Stripe; only Pro has no fee, so factor this in if you take paid bookings.
Scheduling tools

SavvyCal

Consider SavvyCal when the booking experience matters most and invitees should see their own calendar over your available times.

Scheduling links with a week view that invitees can overlay with their own calendar, plus preferred times, limits, and team links.

Pricing model
Two paid plans priced per user, both with unlimited links, calendars, and team scheduling. You can set up an account for free, but links cannot take bookings until you upgrade. There is no self-serve trial; paid plans have a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Before choosing
Every host, including each person in a round robin pool, needs a paid seat; custom domains, branding removal, and Stripe payments are on the higher plan only.
Scheduling tools

Microsoft Bookings

Consider Microsoft Bookings when your organisation already pays for an eligible Microsoft 365 plan and books meetings in Outlook and Teams.

Booking pages built into Microsoft 365, integrated with Outlook and Teams, for personal and shared team appointments.

Pricing model
Included with listed Microsoft 365 and Office 365 subscriptions, including Business Basic, Business Standard, Business Premium, and several Enterprise, Education, and Frontline plans.
Before choosing
It is available only with eligible Microsoft 365 subscriptions, and an administrator may need to turn it on; confirm your plan and tenant settings first.

When Calendly may still fit

Keep Calendly on the shortlist when you rely on its lead routing, CRM integrations, or round robin across a sales team. If one event type is the only limit, compare the Standard plan with the effort of moving every link and embed.

The free plan allows one event type and one calendar; count how many meeting types and calendars you need, and whether you need round robin, before comparing plans.

Before you switch

  1. List your event types, connected calendars, and every person who hosts meetings, then price each candidate per host.
  2. Rebuild your busiest booking link with its buffers, limits, questions, and reminders, and book a test meeting from another account.
  3. Find every place your Calendly links are embedded or shared, and keep them live until the new links are tested.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a free alternative to Calendly?

Cal.com and Zcal both have free plans for individuals with unlimited links and calendar connections, compared with one event type and one calendar on the Calendly free plan. TidyCal also has a free plan with unlimited booking types. Team scheduling is a paid feature on all three.

Can I self-host a Calendly alternative?

Cal.com publishes Cal.diy, an MIT-licensed community edition you run on your own server. It has team features removed, and its maintainers recommend it for personal, non-production use. The other alternatives here are hosted services.

Which Calendly alternative is best for paid sessions?

In our judgment, TidyCal is the closest fit for solo businesses selling sessions, because packages and subscriptions are built in. Check its 1% platform fee on Stripe payments, which applies on free and lifetime plans.

How does Calendly pricing compare with SavvyCal and Cal.com?

Calendly and SavvyCal charge per host seat. SavvyCal has no plan that can take bookings for free, whereas Calendly has a limited free plan. Cal.com is free for one user and charges per user for team plans. Check each provider's current plans against the number of people who host meetings.
